I'm Bec

I'm a self confessed former yo-yo dieter, raised in the 2000s during the height of diet culture. I am also living proof you can beat diet culture burnout and fall back in love with moving your body.

I started dieting at the age of 13 (from laxative teas all the way to cabbage soup) which continued well into my adult life.

After graduating from university, I was burned out, severely under-muscled, emotionally dysregulated and trapped in a toxic cycle of food punishment, no-carb rules, and random intense workouts that left me feeling worse and over it. 

Later, as a shift worker in the hospital, I was exhausted and overwhelmed. Every program I tried expected too much or offered too little cookie-cutter plans that didn’t fit my reality. I wasn’t lazy (I clearly worked hard at my job). I was just lost in a health culture that wasn’t built for me. 

Everything changed when I stopped chasing extremes and started training with intention, fuelling my body properly, and healing my mindset from the inside out. I unlearned the toxic 2000s dieting mindset and finally embraced my new identity along with my new freedom by simplifying my methods while being strong AF. 

Now, as a certified personal trainer and health practitioner with over 8 years of experience, I help women like me break free from those same mental patterns, with methods backed by science and experience.
